Singapore’s streets bustle with busy shoppers & tourists, and the smell of street food soaks the warm night air. Away from the big city though, tucked away in stately old colonial manors, a more elegant delight awaits.

It was in one such of Singapore’s famous black & white houses that JJ first encountered these tropical treasures, wafting an air of sophistication and tropical optimism into the room. Many Hindus believe that banana leaves bring prosperity and fertility, so they’re often gifted to newlywed couples.
