The misty jungle air heaves with chattering birdsong. Our pith-helmeted explorer is busily pressing rare orchids when he hears a most-sublime call. Looking up, he spots this majestic beauty gliding effortlessly to perch.
Our feathered friend may look a little aloof with his coy glance-over-the-shoulder, but don’t be fooled – his presence is said to bring about laughter and love. JJ remembers her great-grandmother laying the table for the family with beautiful antique ceramics, these wonderful parrots taking pride of place. Chasing the nostalgia, JJ tracked some similar ones down to Christie's but, alas, those pretty Pollys cost quite the pretty penny. Not to be defeated, she had some more commissioned & lovingly hand painted.
