Whimsical Gingerbread House Candleholder Green - Tall
£49
Place this tall gingerbread house pride of place on your mantelpiece this festive season. Painted in deep green, it's iced in white along every gable, window frame and scalloped edge, and it looks good enough to eat (although we'd advise against it). Put a tealight inside and the light will flicker through each arched window, warming the gold-lined walls. Handpainted on metal with the finest of brushstrokes.
Inspiration
These houses are handpainted in India, a delightful example of how crafts travel and evolve over time, with influences like whimsical traditions and folklore shaping it’s narrative.
Sustainable Practices
Towards A Greener Future
At Casa by JJ, we believe true luxury considers its legacy, not just in heirloom pieces, but in the planet we leave behind. That’s why we are proud to triple carbon offset, going beyond neutral to give back more than we take. Every collection is a step towards a greener future, where beauty at home and responsibility to the world exist in harmony.

There are objects you acquire, and objects that arrive. This is the latter. Inspired by the masterwork earthenware of 17th-century Dutch Delft — cobalt on cream, painted by hand, fired with intention — our Rectangle Tulipière is designed for a single purpose: to hold the season's flowers and make everything else in the room feel considered by association. There is a reason it is our most collected piece. You will find these in the Rjksmuseum

Some tablecloths cover a table. This one transforms it. Hand block-printed by artisans in Rajasthan using carved wooden blocks and a tradition that has barely changed in five hundred years, our Palm Tree tablecloth turns an ordinary surface into something guests talk about long after dinner is over. The pattern — sweeping palms, rich ground, the slightly imperfect repeat that only a human hand can produce — is bold enough to anchor a whole room and considered enough to live with every week. This is our most popular tablecloth. It is the tablecloth that people come back and buy again for someone else.

The windowsill that has held the same vase for three summers. Hand-painted by local artisan. Designed in Amsterdam, each piece carries the slightly uneven brushwork that comes from a single pair of hands — the terracotta and blue drawn from the southern Italian coast, interpreted through a northern European eye. At 23.5cm it works beside taller pieces or alone, on a shelf that already has its own story. The kind of vase that updates any interior.

A placemat does a quiet job. It protects the table, defines the setting, gives the eye somewhere to land before the food arrives. Most placemats do only that. These do considerably more. The Amalfi Coast collection draws on the colours of the southern Italian coast at its most itself — the terracotta and blue, the lemon grove yellows, the faded grandeur of a cliff-side villa — and brings them to a set of six placemats that make an ordinary weeknight table feel like somewhere you actually want to sit. They come as a set of six because a table set for six deserves to look complete. And because once you have one set, you will understand why people come back for two.

Buds in May — Hand-Painted Lunch Plates Inspired by Matisse Set of 4

Each plate is painted by hand. No two are exactly alike. Henri Matisse spent his winters in Nice, following the light south when the rest of France went grey. He sat at the edge of his bed in the Hôtel de la Méditerranée, watching the sun come in, picking up his brush. We think this is how he would have taken his lunch — plates full of colour, a table set with joy rather than formality. The Buds in May plates are our homage to that instinct. Hand-painted in rich, expressive glazes on shaped stoneware, each one carries the slight variations that come from being made by a single pair of hands. The brushwork is visible. The glaze catches the light differently depending on where the plate sits. That is not inconsistency — that is how you know it is real. At 22cm, they work beautifully as starter plates, lunch plates, or alongside a dinner plate for a more layered table. Food-safe and dishwasher-safe, because beautiful things are made to be used. This is a plate for people who believe lunch deserves as much care as dinner.Care instructions: Dishwasher safe only
