Wildflower and Linen Table Setting

Hand-painted ceramic plates and bowls in a floral pattern, pink and blue blooms against a cream glaze, set across oatmeal linen on woven rattan placemats with braided green edging. Amber hobnob glassware lines each setting, ranunculus and veronica fill cane-wrapped vases, and bamboo-handled cutlery rests on green-edged napkins. A burnt-orange wall holds the warmth of the whole scene. The pattern's hand-painted borders shift slightly from piece to piece, the kind of variation you only get from ceramics made by hand rather than machine. Layer plate, side plate and bowl for a fuller setting, or let the bowl stand alone for pasta, ravioli, anything that wants a wide, shallow rim. Tableware for long lunches that run into the evening, plates built to be passed around.
