Lagoon Table Setting

This is a table built on the tones of one colour doing double duty perfectly. The cobalt in the artisan ceramics picks up the sky blue in the tablecloth, so the two patterns read as layered instead of competing. The scalloped placemat sits between plate and cloth in tone, softening that transition. Then the ranunculus adds a contrast with the warmth and promise of burnt orange, pulling the eye to its centre rather than its edges. Amber and swirl-textured glassware echo that orange and the blue in turn. Bamboo-handled cutlery adds a warm, organic note against painted china and cold glass. This is "collected, not matched" in practice: every piece chosen within one colour family, never part of the same set.
