Inspiration

Mankind has always been slightly obsessed with flamingos, particularly in the ancient & classical worlds. In predynastic Egypt, the flamingo hieroglyph referred to the colour red (personally I’d have used it to mean pink, but I’m sure they knew best) as well as Wrath and Blood. Eek. Thankfully, the Romans came along and totally changed the tone; the flamingo became a symbol of wealth, status and love. A lot has changed since the 7th Century though, and we think it’s time to give the flamingo some new symbolism. What do they represent to you?
