18th Century Britain was an uncertain time, fraught with tension. What would become of King George and the new Hanoverian dynasty? Can those Germans really rule Britain?
As it turned out, yes! Things were basically fine. The resulting stability and wealth gave rise to, among other things, Chelsea Porcelain – the apex of English ceramic art. These dashing side plates are replicas of an original 18th Century collection from the master enameller James Giles (That’s such a modern-sounding name! I had to check whether he was a real Georgian). They may be side plates, but they’re sure to be a main feature & crowd-pleaser at all your family dinners.
If we catch you keeping these plates hidden away in a cupboard, only getting them out for special occasions, you're going to be in big trouble! Decorative plates are very much in chic so make sure you keep these treasures on display.
Care instructions: Dishwasher safe although we recommend washing by hand to maintain these pieces for longer.
