The Hotel Matignon is the official residence of the French PM. Similar to 10 Downing Street, but with classier occupants. The design on these plates was first commissioned in the ‘50s by Madame Chirac and became an instant classic.

Walking the Corridors of Power is one thing, but eating in the Dining Room of Power is on a whole other level. The symmetry and manicured uniformity of the motifs is as Parisian as the Champ de Mars, and the design includes details so fine that even experts sometimes struggle to execute them. Basically, this plate is for the big dogs, or at least, it’ll make you feel like one eating from it.

When you serve up with these, you’re going to want a protractor and a set square to line the cutlery up. The Matignon plates demand neatness & precision, but they’ll have your dining room looking fit for a statesman once their wish is granted.

Care instructions: Dishwasher safe although we recommend washing by hand to maintain these pieces for longer, especially with their metallic decoration.
